About Pyrotec Fire and Security
Pyrotec Fire and Security is an established specialist in fire, security and emergency lighting systems, supporting customers across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire and the Home Counties. With a mix of office-based staff and field engineers, the business relies on dependable IT systems to support both day-to-day operations and its wider service delivery. Get Support has worked closely with Pyrotec for a number of years, providing IT support across its office and mobile workforce.
The Opportunity
As Pyrotec Fire and Security continued to evolve, the business wanted to review its IT support requirements and ensure it had the right solutions and the right strategic partner in place for the future. This was not driven by a failing service or a specific problem. Instead, it was a considered exercise to benchmark the market, sense-check future requirements and confirm that the business was receiving the level of support, cyber security and strategic input needed to match its goals.
With 28 supported workstations, 34 field engineers and a blend of office-based and mobile working, Pyrotec needed an IT partner that could support a dynamic and growing operation. The business already had strong foundations in place, including SentinelOne Endpoint Detection and Response, Datto SaaS Protection for Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 licensing support and server support. The review gave Pyrotec the opportunity to take stock of those services, consider how its needs were developing and put a more forward-looking support structure in place.
The outcome was a renewed and expanded agreement with Get Support, built around not only day-to-day support, but also additional cyber security, strategic consultancy and operational improvements designed to support future growth.

The Solution

Following the review process, Get Support renewed its partnership with Pyrotec Fire and Security on the basis of a more in-depth and forward-looking managed service. This built on the strong relationship already in place while introducing additional elements designed to support the business as it grows.
The renewed service includes full IT support for office users and field engineers, alongside continued protection through SentinelOne endpoint detection and response. To further strengthen identity security within Microsoft 365, Huntress ITDR was added as part of the service, providing enhanced protection for user accounts and greater visibility around potential identity-based threats.
Alongside the core support and cyber security services, the agreement also includes a monthly on-site engineer visit, helping provide regular in-person technical input and closer alignment with the business. Over the course of the year, Pyrotec also benefits from four hours of Cyber Essentials consultancy, a Microsoft 365 productivity review and one day of AI consultancy, ensuring the business has access to strategic guidance as well as operational support.
The service also supports smoother day-to-day IT management, including a streamlined joiners and leavers process, continued Microsoft 365 licensing management and access to the support ticketing portal, allowing visibility of activity and service requests. Together, these elements create a comprehensive support package built not just around maintenance, but around improvement, security and future readiness.
Together, these improvements formed a well-rounded and strategic security hardening programme, aligned to the business’s ongoing development and future needs.
The Result
By renewing and expanding its relationship with Get Support, Pyrotec Fire and Security secured a long-term IT partnership aligned to the next phase of its development. The result is a more rounded and strategic support model that combines reliable day-to-day IT help with proactive cyber security, consultancy and service improvements.
Importantly, this project demonstrates the value of reviewing IT from a position of strength. Rather than waiting for issues to arise, Pyrotec took the opportunity to benchmark the market, validate its direction and make sure it had the right support structure in place for the future. The renewed agreement provides confidence that the business has the technology partnership, security measures and advisory support needed to continue operating efficiently and growing with confidence.
“We came to the point where we were looking at our future, and all our IT solutions. We reached the point where we needed to have a fresh look at the solutions we were being supplied with. So we actually went out with a tender process, and we selected six potential suppliers. And actually with the full support of Get Support IT Services, they supported us through the whole process. Get Support IT Services came out on top because they gave us everything and extra that we were asking for, at a really fantastic price.”
